Consecutive wins for Saints, who host Eagles on Sunday

Putting it on the Line

Posted by Eric Fisher On November 1

My record for my “best bets” is identical to the Eagles’ record after eight weeks. Like the Eagles, I’m hoping for a strong second half after a mediocre first half.

Unlike the Eagles, however, I don’t get a bye week. We’re down to 13 games this week, so it was a little more difficult to round out my “other top picks.”

Just like Week 8, two games seem to stand out above the rest. Last week I correctly picked the Bears (-7½) over the visiting Jets as my best bet and the Texans (-7½) over the visiting Dolphins as one of my other top picks. Two home favorites again stand out this week, with the Vikings (-5) over the Lions being my best bet, and the Cowboys (-5½) over the Titans being among my other top picks. I also like the Saints (+1) to hand the Rams their first loss this season.

Here are my Week 9 selections:

49ERS +1½ vs. Raiders

VIKINGS -5 vs. Lions

Best bet: VIKINGS -5 vs. Lions

Other top picks: 2-2 (17-13-2 this season)
