Suicide pool advice for week 8

Posted by Ron Opher On October 25

Week 7: 8-5, 4-0 on recommended picks
Overall: 64-40 (62%), 18-10 on recommended picks (64%)

Wow. My first 4-0 week on recommended games.

It’s about time.

I even picked against 4 teams whose combined record was 14-9 (insert imaginary bow here). Pretty gutsy.

Let’s not waste any time in jumping back in for week 8:

1. Packers over Jaguars

Green Bay looks like it has righted the Good Ship Cheesehead…the same can’t be said of Jacksonville, which can ill afford the injury bug which suddenly bit last week.

2. Steelers over Redskins

The Steelers have not been a sure bet, and the ‘Skins are better than expected – each of their 4 losses had been to a team with at least 3 wins and also by no more than a touchdown.

I still think we’re in the part of the season where Pittsburgh catches on fire and Washington sinks like a rock.

3. Jets over Dolphins

There are a lot of tight games this week – and this should be one of them. Yet, the Jets had a better showing than expected against New England and should manage a home win this week to keep from slipping to 2 games below .500.

4. Raiders over Chiefs

The Chiefs suck.

Other week 8 selections:

MIN over TB
CHI over CAR
SD over CLE
DET over SEA
ATL over PHI
NE over STL
TEN over IND
NYG over DAL
DEN over NO
SF over AZ
