Read what the people say about Raven Lounge: “Just hit this place up last night for the first time, and had a great night. No cover is a good start, drinks were moderate priced for the area, and the service was good and quick. First level had some live music going (a pretty good pianist), the standard bar setup in front, and some low tables in back set up for board gaming. Second level was more club-esque, probably better suited to larger groups (we had 8 in-party, and fit fine around a table). They do have a dancing pole on a small stage, and had the dance music cranked up. Makes for a good time if you’re not shy about dancing. In the end, I’m sure I’ll be back again.

It was originally part of the late 1800′s United States Hotel when a building permit was issued in 1903 authorizing the construction of a one-story addition designated as the “hotel bar.” In 1914 the United States Hotel was demolished to make way for the Empress Theatre as movies became the rage. Today, the films and hotel are history and only this beautiful old saloon remains, still boasting its original tin ceiling, old-fashioned solid cherry bar and outdoor dining.
